The steel brush finish is beautiful.. but it's so very cold! In a room abience of 16*C you could imagine how cold metal gets.

Anyone got a remedy of fixing that? ';d

I thought of swapping hard drives around, getting the warm mechanical drive under my left hand, but I got my bearings wrong and forgot the drives are at the right side of the laptop. At least the mousepad is warm. ;d LOL

This will probably be the most silly question here, but.. hey, answers? ;3

Darnassus, palm rest protectors? The plastic will warm to the skin easier than the metal.

Holy ****. ':x I'm definitely getting one of those. I forgot that these existed and I used to have one. I wonder how it'd fare against the screen though. The 4mm depth should be a big enough gap I hope.. depends if they're sticky or just a silicone matt you place down temporarily.

Yes that's perfect. During the day I'm fine and the cold rest is really nice against my hand, keeps it from sweatting too when I play stairs events or other games I risk falling down from high places.

It's at NIGHT my hand almost ceases into an ice cube.

Darnassus, for frozen hand, I wear two things to keep the heat in, when the ambient drops low enough my hands get cold from all the flying around across the keyboard - it forces blood out and heat doesn't stay in my hands.

Open finger golf gloves - not just any, I have to try them on to find warm, light, and comfortable flexing for lots of finger motion - many are stiff and are too tight, not made for wearing over long periods of time. I go through several pair and return them to find the right fit.

And, a hat with ear flaps, no joke.

I can take pretty low temps for field work, given those two items. Extends my work / play sessions greatly. :)

Yes I have fingerless gloves, but they're too annoying to get used to. And when my hand gets warm, the steel surface begins to condensate.

I need one of those pads! ;x

Or, Darnassus, you could simply go with a DIY method.
Just put the cloth that your asus laptop came in where your hands would be and ta-daaa :)
