Hi everybody, most of website and retail seller allow us to pre-order the new g550jk from now. I would say this machine fit perfectly for me. HOWEVER, IT KEYBOARD MAKE ME CONFUSED NOW. here is the picture of it :38137
it is clearly that symbol A,Q,W,Z and many others are changed. It is so confused me. Is this for real, what kind of keyboard is hard, it is so hard to get use to with a new keyboard like that. Is that anyway that i can change it back to it should be ?
thank you

That's a region-specific keyboard used for customers in France and Belgium.

If you're looking for a QWERTY keyboard, chances are it will be localized and produced with one soon. You might need to get in touch with Asus sales support on that.

From what i know the model in question has not been released yet and is to be released on the 20th of July.
Is that the same model as the one in Question?

I believe the model in Question is this one : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KOUILK2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I don't know as much about this and usually try to avoid hearing too much about it since we normally cannot say much, but some models may be released in different regions first, or even to some resellers first, so if it matters, we might want to ask skycer where they are located or where they purchased the unit if this matters.

From Canada, and I just purchased the Asus G550jk-DB-71-CA model, which has the standard QWERTY keyboard with the long enter bar.

Did you Buy the laptop from a store or online?

If online did the pictures show a QWERTY keyboard

Ahahahaha I would have had a heart-attack too if I got my laptop with a keyboard like this and I wasn't French. Don't worry. It's localised, you'll be fine.

I got mine 2 weeks ago from Newegg. The keyboard layout is QWERTY. No need to worries. I pre ordered this laptop on 6/27 and i believe i got the first order round. I think it will be officially available at the end of July

Sorry to hijack the thread, do you guys know if there would be any issue with ordering the Canada model to ship to the US? Don't know if there are any issues could come up with the laptop since they are in different regions. The one I ordered from the US is in backorder til mid August
