Dear friends,

my new Asus g750 js started to produce a very udible high pitched sound when cpu is idle. I tried to mute the microphone (and btw I need it) and this didnt solve. I saw on internet that some modify the registry in order to change the way the processor goes idle.. but his would rise the temperature. Has anybody of you solved it?

Interesting... this high pitch is either fans (doubt it) or speakers. Have you tried muting the speakers? CPU doesn't make noise (unless it sparks and burns). You can use Speccy to check temps (doubt it is this, however...)

I tried all .. it is not speakers.. I can really hear it coming from the CPU

Never heard of this before... Did you check to see if there is a BIOS update for your G750 version? (look in support.asus.com). Temperature shouldn't go really up that much. I see 10-15 degrees increase between idle and load on mine

I might have the exact same issue as you.

Does the sound come from between the screen and the keyboard at the center?
