Every time i try to usb boot windows 7 ultimate i get the error "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now." and I can't get past this page to install windows 7, any suggestions?

Let me change that first off. You need to download Asus Backtracker (http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=3&s=480&m=ASUS+Backtracker&os=&hashedid=n%2fa)and create a factory restore media. You may need this in the future. Installing Window 7 will wipe your recovery partition. So make this recovery disk while you can. Asus does not sell a recovery disk or media of any kind for window 8.

No that we have a factory recover Media

First off Disable secure Boot, and enable CSM in your UEFI/BIOS
You will need to use Rufus or similar or manually create a UEFI Bootable Install Media depending on your ISO you may need to set up a boot 64 folder in the ISO. "MS Window USB maker will not make a UEFI Install media"

See this thread (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?28758-GUIDE-G55-G75-Upgrade-Notes&country=&status=), these are the solutions we came up with in the begging of Windows 8 and Rewben has put them all in one Sticky threat. While mostly for the G75 and G55 they apply to your G46
