“OCZ is pleased to announce that the cause of a BSOD issue experienced by some SF-2000-based drive owners has been identified by OCZ and SandForce,” the company said in a statement Monday.“A new firmware update which directly addresses this BSOD occurrence related to SF-2000 based SSDs is available here.”

I have a G53-XN1 and I've been waiting for a price drop or a deal on a 128gb Crucial M4, but haven't seen one since I purchased the laptop. But now...hmm...if it's really been fixed, I would consider jumping on a SF controlled SSD, seeing as how they're much cheaper. So far it appears only OCZ has the fixed firmware, but I'm sure the other SF SSD vendors will follow soon.

Obviously, I'm going to wait and see what people think/see with the new firmware, but what do you guys think?

Seems like this is the second time OCZ has claimed a fix or maybe they had a work around before. Anyways, I would still go for the Crucial M4 or pay a little more and get an Intel if it was me.
