I managed to find the G53SX-XR1 for $1,033.00 and the G53SW-A1 for $1,019.00 so price really isn't an issue here. I'm wondering whether I should get one or the other, because I've heard that the 560M in the G53SX series is gimped and only 128-bit, while the G53SW series has a 192-bit 460M. Which one is better for gaming?

I would verify if the G53SX model has the 192-bit GTX 560M GPU or the 128-bit version. There are different models out there. My understanding is the 1.5GB model is 192-bit, and the 2GB comes in 128 or 192-bit, and the 3GB comes in 128-bit. The 192-bit GTX 560M is a superior card according to notebookreview.net due to a higher core/shader speed. There is speculation that the 5xx series chips will improve with drivers similar with how the 4xx series did, but that is still TBD.

I could be wrong but I thought it was the 1GB and 2GB that are 128-bit and that the 1.5GB and 3GB models are 192-bit. Can anyone confirm for sure which quantity of memory goes with which interface width?

That's what I heard, too. But I couldn't vouch for the source . . .

Thanks for checking that guys, I had it wrong. From what I can see, the 1.5GB is 192-bit, the 2GB is 128-bit, and the 3GB is 192-bit.
