Hey guys

Having serious problems with a G75WV laptop. I'll try to give you as much as relevant infos as possible. (Laptop is not mine but taking care of it for my better half).

- Laptop is 1 and an half year old.
- Laptop was running Win 8, started having some game crashes while playing D3. At first like once a day, then every couple hours etc.
- Decided to format the laptop as it had been a very long time (1 year ish) since the purchase, and it couldn't hurt.
- Went for Win 7 64 this time.
- Updated to latest Bios version
- Things are not getting better, it's quite the contrary actually. Games (WoW) is crashing every 1-2h, sometimes even more. With the usual game client crash now comes some BSOD.
- There is now a clear pattern: The laptop tends to crash when the hardware is stressed more by a game. Like raid environnement, with lots of lights effect, players to display etc. The laptop NEVER crashed while just browsing the web, watching a movie etc.
- Laptop has always been used on a cooling station, and there is no sign of over heating. On the contrary, the air coming out of the laptop feels cold enough.

Something to try ? thoughts ? thanks in advance !

Well Benchmark it. and let us know what your actually Load Temps And Fan speeds are. Furmark (http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/furmark.html)is a good stress test for your GPU, What ever program you can find that will stress your CPU. I use Burn In Test (http://www.passmark.com/products/bit.htm)but I think its a paid program

Run full 1080 15 minute burn in test, on both GPU and CPU 100% load 15 minutes

Hwinfo64 (http://www.hwinfo.com/download.php) will read and log your Loads, Temps, and Fan Speeds

Edit: also roll your Video driver back to the latest one at Asus Support Downloads (http://support.asus.com/download/options.aspx?SLanguage=en)

How are your temps looking like under the stress of game play?
The GPU could be over heating during game play, and will shut down your NB as a safety precaution.
When was the last time you cleaned the fans, vents, and heat sinks?
