Hello everyone so last night I updated to windows 8.1 from windows 8 I had a small problem with headphones driver so I wanted to reset my windows but I couldn't , when I reset it says partition is missing , and when I try to refresh it says driver is locked unlock it and try again.

When I searched more about this problem I found out that you can't refresh/reset after upgrading luckily I made a recovery USB of my windows and I restored it and now it's windows 8 again but I want to upgrade

So would I face this problem again if I will upgrade to 8.1.

Thank you

Yes was an issue with the 8.1 upgrade, Clean installing will work better.
This issue was discussed in depth on the windows eight forum http://www.eightforums.com/general-support/35406-refresh-function-broken-since-upgrade-8-1-a-3.html

xXLeonXx, that's good that you created the Asus Backtracker flash recovery drive before doing the upgrade :)

For those that forgot you can still use Asus Backtracker to create a flash recovery drive - if you haven't deleted the recovery partition - and boot on the flash drive to reset Windows on your G750,

If you have data on the 2nd bay drive you want to preserve, remove that drive from the G750 before restoring from the Flash drive otherwise the restore process will erase that drive partitions and rebuild them.

Try the old version for Windows 8 first:

If that doesn't work, try the new version for Windows 8.1:
