Hi all...im owner of this laptop...but model with Intel i5 cpu...i would like to know...is it possible to exchanged this cpu for Intel i7? ...and...if yes...can do it some Asus service?
And the next question...more important...is it too possible to exchanged the gpu 560M for some higher NVidia model?...570M...580M ?...
And how it could be with cooling after this?
Thanks...

Did you know it had an i5 before you bought it? Didn't know they even made G74's with an i5!

I'm pretty sure the CPU can be upgraded, but the GPU is integrated on the motherboard.

the cpu and gpu are soldered on the motherboard afaik. So no you cant upgrade yourself unless you void the warranty and you are extremely skilful in soldering etc.

I believe you're wrong about the CPU - http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/612093-g74-cpu-upgrade.html

CPU is socketed, GPU is mounted.

yeah, they can physically be replaced. gpu usually isn't worth it, ever.

cpu might be a diff story, i've been wondering the same thing about swapping them ever since i saw a g60 with a i5.
