I need to order a replacement motherboard for my G74Sx and there are a few things I haven't been able to figure out.

1) Can I move the GPU from my old motherboard onto the new one?

2) Will I see any performance loss by downgrading from the 3GB 560m to the 1.5GB or 2GB 560m?

3) I'm confused about how much memory the different types of motherboards can hold. The specs that I have been able to find so far say that all the motherboards can hold up to 16GB of memory, regardless of whether the laptop originally came with 8Gb or 12GB. However, both of the motherboard replacement companies that I have talked to told me there is a difference between the 8GB and 12GB motherboard. For example: different motherboard types (http://www.motherboard-home.net/catalogsearch/result/?q=G74SX+&cat=0).

4) What is the difference between the motherboards in the above link. Notice one has 4 black chips surrounding the GPU and the other has 6.

5) Is there anything else I should be aware of in regards to purchasing a replacement motherboard?
