Thank you! I will just put it on the dvd then. :)

Thank you for all the drivers. Is it safe to assume that they are not model specific and that I will be able to use them on my g53sx?

Thanks, but is it ok to use vBIOS for HD5870M if I have just HD5800M?

It doesn't show the exact model, just series. That is the correct vBIOS for your card.

On a side note, is it a waste for me to use a 16gb usb 3.0 flash drive to install windows 7? Will I be able to place other files on the flash drive? Should I just put windows 7 on a 4.7gb DVD-R and perhaps the drivers on the flash drive?
Not sure what you mean by "waste," but you wouldn't get USB 3.0 functionality out of it. When installing Windows, you're using the BIOS's legacy USB support.....there are no USB 3.0 drivers on board.

I use both kinds of installers...USB and DVD. But for a safe "hard copy" I prefer to always keep a DVD on hand. They're more reliable than flash memory.

All of our JH's use the same GPU. I was a little bit confused by the same thing but it's really a cosmetic issue as everything works normally.

nvm I researched it a bit the letters/numbers after the model in my case G73JH-RBBX05 makes it a lg monitor with 1600x900 HD+
depends where you buy them.

Not necessarily. Try executing C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\ATK Package\ATK Hotkey\HControl.exe. You may need to do this from the Command Prompt, starting it by right-clicking on CMD.EXE and choosing "Run as administrator" from the popup menu.

If the above succeeds, launch MSCONFIG.EXE, go to the Startup tab, and confirm the "ATK Hotkey" checkbox IS checked.

If executing HControl.exe fails, uninstall the ASUS ATK Package from "Control Panel - Uninstall a program", REBOOT, and reinstall ATK Package 1.00.0014. The ATK Package controls all of the Fn key combinations on your system.

NOTE: In the future, please either add to an existing thread that discusses the specific issue or post a new thread. Let's keep this thread ONLY for announcements of new Drivers, Apps, or How-To Guides.

Your system's memory configuration has changed since it entered hibernation. If you proceed, the data needed to resume from hibernation will be lost. To preserve this data, turn off the system power, resore the original memory configuration, and then reboot the system, otherwise, press <enter> to delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu.

I wonder if that means your RAM is flakey? Download MemTest86, make a Bootable CD, and boot from it and run the memtest for a while. Any errors at all means your RAM is bad.</enter>

I just run the main installation file, and it works fine. Typically, that installer will run other components and add-ons like that. Considering that the latest driver is much newer than the patch, I think it's safe to assume it integrates it, if necessary.

The thread itself, of course, has great value. Let's see how all these changes iron out. If they leave it buried like this, along with the other previous stickies, they become pretty hard to follow, I think. If access plummets, usability plummets.

So.....is this the nrew & improved ROG Forum they were talking about?

I use the 285.62 Verde driver directly from Nvidia.

FenrirMH

I tend to use Nividia's Verde drivers as these are specifically designed for notebook GPU's and the ASUS Support drivers VGA drivers are out-of-date as far as I can tell anyway. I'm currently running the Verde 290.36 Beta Driver, as it's more designed for gamers playing Skyrim, BF3, CoD MW3, Batman Arkham City, for full fixes and updates, see here http://uk.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/nvidia-geforce-290-36-beta-drivers-released this driver will also update PhysX to 9.11.1107 for Batman AC and will also update the HD Audio Driver to 1.3.9.0 but I would get the relevant Verde driver depending on the games your playing, so if you do play any of the above then get 290.36 the current WHQL driver is 285.62 like Brody says, but it's upto you which one you prefer, you play alot of Skyrim, BF or CoD it may help to go for the Verde Beta driver, but you may still find issues, with the beta driver, it is a beta driver after all (i've had 2 instances of the driver itself not running during games (could this be the issue with Crysis Maximum Edition *pauses for thought* something to check after work me thinks), but if your unsure safe bet is the WHQL driver. Me I'll always go for the beta drivers, programs etc etc :)

Here's the poop (a common saying among us dogs): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Rapid_Storage_Technology

If you want to use it, you need to set it up before installing the OS. I recommend using it as disk image that you can swap out for something more conventional if you run into problems.

Actually, I think I did that because it so hard to figure out exactly what to install. So I guess do that but stay away from the useless bloatware. And buy a good antivirus like NOD32 or use the microsoft free solution, but stay away from Trend.

PhysX is built in to the nVidia Mobile Graphics driver package. Anyhoo, there's a lot they don't include on Asus, like anything new. Get the verde drivers from NVIDIA.

Thanks, JR. I DLed the updated drivers from your post and just installed the rest from the cd minus the bloat (installed: VGA, Audio, Multi-Card Reader, Keyboard Filter, Intel Turbo Boost, Power4Gear, Bios Flash Utility). Brody, in one of his posts to me, said I would need two drivers for an Aetheros wifi card. However, I just installed a bigfoot killer 1102 adn simply DLed their driver. Will I still need the Aetheros drivers? Also, I'm guessing the VGA driver from the cd is for the video card, should I check out your other post for the latest Nvidia drivers and update? If so, which driver would you recommend. Sorry for all the questions! :)

edit: I'm actually really confused w/ the nvidia driver. Under device manager, using the "VGA" driver from the cd,I have driver version 8.17.12.6856. However, in your other thread, the latest nvidia driver is 295.18.

If you removed the Atheros card you no longer need Atheros drivers.

Asus is fond of old drivers, it seems. The one you named would br 268.56

Go to nvidia and be sure you get drivers for mobile gpu's ie 560m not 560

Yes, this is an annoyance with Asus-sourced drivers. They basically take the manufacturers' driver releases, put it in their own installer package and sometimes add customizations, and then assign their own driver numbering schemes. So it's hard to correlate Asus releases to the appropriate manufacturer's version without opening it up to see what driver's actually in there.

Cancelling my DL. Lol. I think I got RST to work. I have 10.5 drivers (from the ASUS drivers CD) appearing under device manager, but I installed the drivers from the OP (10.8). Even though I got an error during the install, 10.8 appears under control panel -> uninstall programs. In the end, the little icon on the bottom right has a green check mark.

I replaced all links to StationDrivers with links to either Asus FTP or the device manufacturer. I keep getting a sirefef.trojan just from visiting StationDrivers home page and the downloads are most likely not infected, BUT . . . . even though I'm sure that the site owner is not a willing participant, if he can't control what happens there then I can't send people to him anymore. You'll just have to suffer through slow downloads from Asus FTP if I can't find better links.

If your AV or antimalware solution protects you from getting infected with sirefef.trojan, let me know because my NOD32 AV is failing for the first time in the 5 or so years I've been using it. :( Luckily, restoring from a backup image with Acronis TrueImage fixes the infection for me. phew . . . .!

If you ever do want to buy it install the trial then uninstall it and a browser window will open offering to sell it to you at a big savings. Lol

That reminds me.....did you go from the trial to the full paid version of Power DVD Ultra? The trial just ran out on ours, and Cyberlink has the most ass-backwards site.....I can't find a way to just get a product key to activate what's already installed. They seem to want to treat it like a whole new customer, new purchase, new registration. Did you run into this? Do you REALLY have to do another big download and re-install the whole program??

Yes I bought it but didn't run into that problem. I think you should run the installer , perhaps that will get you to the reg screen.

Hello JR, I have ordered the Intel 6230 Wi-Fi card and am in the processing of downloading all of the drivers needed to do a new install onto a SSD for my wife's Christmas present (G74X-DH71). I downloaded the Intel driver for the 6230 that you recently posted. If I install the Intel 14.2.0.10 driver for the WLAN, do I need to install the Atheros LAN adapter driver as well as the Realtek or is there a choice that needs to be made between the 2? Are both needed? I apologize if this is something that I shouldn't be asking. I assume that both are needed. Thank you, Roger

No!!! Probably use the Realtek. Check in device manager when in doubt about what you have installed.

You also need to install the Intel BlueTooth for the 6230.

Yes, also if you decide to not do a clean install, right away, you have to uninstall the drivers for your present wifi/bt adapter before you remove the card. If you don't you'll be unable to uninstall the driver afterwards, for some reason. Believe me . . . lol

I've got a suggestion for the "How-to" section. :)

If you have the issue where the display driver keeps crashing while doing stuff in Windows that has to do with Flash most of the time (for example watching YouTube video's), you should download a tool called PowerMizer switch. Run it and turn off PowerMizer, and the problem will be solved.
http://forum.notebookreview.com/gaming-software-graphics-cards/273276-powermizer-switch-get-most-out-your-video-card.html
The issue is created by a function in your graphics card called PowerMizer: it lowers the voltage and clocks when not playing games to maximize battery life. But when doing stuff in Windows, your card might get insufficient voltage or clocks to handle what you're doing, which will make your graphics drivers crash and recover. It's a fairly known issue, and this is an easy solution.

No problem. I tried to fix it myself several times, but it never worked and I sent my G74SX to RMA. All they did was reinstall Windows, which made me so pissed that I looked into the problem again myself and finally found the good solution to it. It's actually nVidia's fault and not Asus's, but it's pretty sad that Asus Support doesn't recognize the issue. :/

That's kind of an open-ended question, without knowing the current status of your system. If you're talking about the OEM Windows installation, there are a few drivers you could update....the WLAN driver is especially important, as the stock driver is a bad one.

If you have done (or are considering) a clean install of Windows, there are about 10 drivers you must install to get full functionality.

What is it about your keyboard that's getting worse? If it's general lagginess, that can come from things like the WLAN driver. If it's missed keystrokes, this can often be alleviated with some updates.....the first step is to update the BIOS to v203 and the ATK Package to v1.0.00014. Then remove all the bloatware you're willing to give up, and update drivers.

For the keystroke thing, updating the BIOS firmware has been helpful for many folks.

Go to the first post of this thread and you'll find a link to the v/203, along with detailed instructions on how to update. Do not use any other method (especially the WinFlash utility) to update BIOS firmware.

Then do the ATK Package. Also, I'd update the WLAN and chipset drivers. There may be other new drivers, like LAN, audio, etc., but they're not as important.

The other thing you can do is start uninstalling Asus bloatware....there's a ton of it and some of it is bad, intrusive software.

If you have any concerns that the video driver situation messed up your installation, you could always do a factory restore and start over. That option is easiest now, when your machine is new and you haven't added much of your own stuff yet.

Assuming you're referring to the listing on Intel's site, where are you seeing two options for the chipset? I just see one...the executable 9.2.0.1030 installer (http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20019&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207%20%2864-bit%29*&DownloadType=). For the Intel WLAN installer, there are two options....just the driver, or the driver + PROSet Wireless Utility package. Either one will work. The PROSet software isn't requried.

Are you sure about that 5100? That's an older card that's since been replaced by the 6000 series cards. Did you put that one in yourself?

In any event, the current Intel driver is the one you mention.....it applies to most current Intel cards. And again, the choice is between driver-only and driver+PROSet.

It provides a few extra parameters. As far as I can tell, they don't add much, but if some are set wrong, they can mess up your connection. Also, I believe it' the PROSet software that includes the drivers for the My WiFi stuff that nobody uses.

The PROSset software also includes some status and diagnostic tools, which are probably their most useful components.

Y'know....I'd consider contacting your custom builder about this, maybe see if they'll send you a newer card. The 5100 is three-yearr-old technology....so I think they tried to save a little money by using a leftover they had laying around. (That card is 5th-generation Intel Centrino technology, circa 2008....I think they're currently at 8th generation.)

This is not to say that that can't work, but c'mon, it IS a brand new laptop and that's NOT one of the spec'd WLAN cards for the G74. I don't believe it's the original WLAN card....it's a retailer substitution.

I think I will call them tomorrow. What are the cards the G74 series comes with?
It depends on the configuration, but it's usually an Atheros combo card, or an Intel combo or WLAN-only card.

Just to be clear, three years ago, that 5100 would have been upgrade....it's capable of higher speeds that any of the basic cards Asus currently installs. So in that sense, it's sort of an upgrade. But Intel's Centrino platforms are designed as a system....a card, CPU, and chipset that are meant to be installed together. That card was designed with the Series 4 chipset and the Core 2 Duo CPUs. Again, that's not to say that current CPUs and chipsets aren't backwards-compatible, but what if there ARE any little incompatibilities? Or the mismatch causes just less-than-optimal performance?

FWIW, you may end up wanting to upgrade your WLAN card anyway, like many G74 owners do. It's an easy and cheap upgrade....TOTL cards can be had for less than $40. (If they offer to send you the OEM Azurewave card, I'd turn them down. It's not worth the trouble.)

Hi Roger - I suspect your ISO file is bad and would recommend you re-download it. Be sure it is for the Windows version that originally came with your laptop. Burn the DVD at 1x speed and make sure nothing else is running during the burn.

I also recommend using ABR to backup the Activation Info from your original Windows installation. There is a link to this utility on the OP of this thread. You can then use the restore part of this utility to Activate your new Windows 7 installation.

If you need additional help, please start a new thread for this issue. Let's leave this one for Driver and Application New Releases and How-to Guides.

Actually, you can just use the default MS keyboard filter. The Asus KB filter doesn't seem to be necessary anymore.

You definitely need the chipset driver....in fact, it should be the first thing you install after Windows. You can get the latest version (http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20019&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows 7 (64-bit)*&DownloadType=) directly from Intel.

I'm not sure what the next-to-last line of your post is asking. As for Rotation Desktop, it's just one of those Asus bell-n-whistles utilities...it's for switching between different desktop configurations.

You probably already have it installed....a the most basic driver in your system.

But just in case, you can simply click on the installer file and run it. (If you are experiencing issues that actually require reinstalling the chipset, there's another way to do it that ensures all components of it are reinstalled, whether needed or not. But it doesn't sound like you are having issue....so just run the installer.)

So I got an ASUS N53 Wireless adapter

Do I plug it in to the laptop and then install drivers?

or

Install drivers and then plug it in?

( Do I use the ralink ones or the asus ones? )

The asus one seems to be a folder with multiple OS versions and then x86 and x64
but the ralink one is just one .exe file.

edit: nvm got it to work with the ralink installation

Hi JRD and ROG forums

I feel Stupid

Just recently received my new 74sx-A1!
So i was trying to install the newest driver for the Atheros AR900WB-1NG since 've been spiking very badly.
I ran the DPC Latency Checker that you listed on the apps, and yes, Im spiking in the 4500 range.

Currently running Version: 9.0.0.222

So I went here: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread...s-and-How-to-s

however, i feel very dumb as im not driver updating savy

Once I dl the driver, then what? Where do I save it/put the file?
Can you kinda step by step it for me? NOrmally my bro (who is great at comps) is able to help me, but hes unavailable.

No....the installer has to be on one disk. A DVD is something like 4.7Gb, so it should fit.

You should install all drivers to the default locations they want, which will be on your system drive with Windows. The 64Gb should be plenty of space....just be sure to change your data save locations to the secondary drive so that your data doesn't accumulate on, and fill up, the SSD.

You mean the data files for applications etc? Good point; wouldn't have thought of that. This CAPTCHA for every post is just over the top; no chance in satisfying it somehow to eliminate it is there? First forum I've ever been on that requires it for each post.

BrodyBoy
01-06-2012, 07:46 AM
Hmmm? I've never had to use a CAPTCHA! There must be a setting somewhere...or maybe it's just until you reach some post # threshold.....

Yeah, Windows 7 uses "library" locations to organize your data. So set the default locations in Windows Explorer, and all your saves will go to the folders you've specified on the 2nd HDD.

Where are you looking in Device Manager? If you're looking at your Keyboard driver, there is a separate ASUS keyboard filter driver, but Brody and I aren't using it and observe no changes in functionality. My take - don't worry about installing it.

Keys that are hard to press are a hardware issue. If they prove unbearable, an RMA or attempting the remedy in this thread is required: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?9245-Cause-of-unresponsive-sluggish-keys-on-G74

The ATK package is the Asus software that drives the function keys and hotkeys (on some models), and associates them with other programs.

A keyboard filter is just a basic driver that captures keystrokes and routes them for processing. The generic Microsoft keyboard filter is installed with Windows, and works just fine....there's no need for the Asus KB filter.

Are you sure that you have a Sentelic touchpad? You might have a Synaptics.

Take a look at http://www.dslreports.com/faq/160. Like JR says - you want to contact your ISP for high latency (high ping times) problems. Your problem is unrelated to your notebook's hardware and software.

I have a few questions --

A) Should I keep any of this ASUS/Intel brand software that comes stock with the G Series (G47, BBK7 Best Buy Version in particular)? I'd hate to delete something and then find out that my Turbo mode/fan speeds got messed with...or something like that.

B) Is overclocking feasible? Would it require more than just MSI Afterburner? In other words, would I have to go into BIOS or get separate software to control fan speeds, etc.? Things like that?

C) Is something wrong with this keyboard/touchpad? It seems...finicky.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum. :) Don't uninstall Intel software, as that's probably needed. (Chipset, WLAN drivers, etc.) Any Asus software except the ATK Package can be uninstalled without impacting functionalality....the Asus programs are optional add-ons.

B) Is overclocking feasible? Would it require more than just MSI Afterburner? In other words, would I have to go into BIOS or get separate software to control fan speeds, etc.? Things like that?
The G74 BIOS doesn't allow overclocking. There's very little in there that can be user-customized.

C) Is something wrong with this keyboard/touchpad? It seems...finicky.

It helps to update to the latest BIOS and ATK Package, and then to tweak the touchpoad settings a little to accommodate your usage. I.e., if you tend to brush the touchpad while you type, you may need to adjust the settings in the TP driver that account for that.

a. sounds like you need to update your video driver, or at the very least reload it.
b. if you are that much of a newbie, i wouldn't suggest that you try to overclock anything. but yes, the fans will keep up.
c. you need some external media so that you can flash it within the cmos. usb drives are very convenient for this.
d. the best way is to reload windows from a clean version that has nothing to do with asus. but that's something you will have to research and learn about. the second best way, is to go to control panel, then programs and features, and click on the asus programs to uninstall them. and that would be the easiest for you. the atk package is an asus software program to make your fn keys, and other keyboard shortcuts, functional. you do want that program on your system. hope this helps.

Honestly, I'd love to. But where I come from, the only really "good" service you can get is my current ISP. All the others don't offer and have a better stable connection. One of the other ISPs actually offer a better internet service, in terms of speed, but I can't even play any online games properly or load flash properly either. Heck, I can't even go to regular websites such as gamespot or ign or even gametrailers.

EDIT:

No, it's not essential. It's just an add-on audio enhancement program. Some people like the effect it has on the G74's already weak audio, while others don;t like it at all. I'd suggest you go ahead and try it. If you don't like it, simply uninstall.

If you tweak the Realtek audio manager enough, you can do the same things in there. It's just not the easy "pre-set" that you get with the THX program.

I updated my vbios a while back so for sh.t & giggles I looked at my cmos\bios info I looked at the current vbios it says 012.020.000.032.0383.6730 is this right. I googled the version number with no results. Also I looked at the vbios file on this site and matches till you get to the last 6 numbers goes 038352 instead of 0383.6730.
Any ideas if this is right?

kb0sdq, If you download and run the program GPU-Z, you will see that it should show the vbios version that ends in 038352. For some reason, that escapes me at the moment, the BIOS and GPU-Z show different verion numbers but they are both the same and correct.

i can't find any answer to my problem in french topics, and i found this very complete topic on google, so maybe you can help me !

i bought a g74sx 2 weeks ago... my numpad wasnt working, so i flashed it and i bricked it.

it has 203 bios, the numpad is working, but the keyboard backlight isn't working !!!
i tried to install every version of atk drivers, without any success

someone tell me that the backlight isn't compatible with 203 bios and that i had to go back to 202 bios
it seems very strange that a new version of the bios brings more problems than before...

i'm so scared about flashing this bios again ! i dont want to brick it again, and i read that some peope bricked their bios even with a fat32 usb flash drive !

what can i do?

this ****ing bios will kill me ...

You don't need to flash the BIOS....it's not true that the backlights require v202.

I would suggest you uninstall all remnants of those ATK packages you previously installed. Then just cleanly install the latest ATK for the G74, v.1.0.0014.

I recommend holding off on flashing the BIOS again. Many users with BIOS 203 have no problem with the keyboard backlight.

1) Does the backlight flash on at the start of booting your laptop?

2) Does the account you use to logon to Windows have Adiministrator privileges?

3) If you press Fn-F4, does it turn on the backlight?

4) Go to "Control Panel - Uninstall a program" and right-click on the ASUS ATK Package, then choose "Repair" from the popup menu. Does this resolve your issue?

5) If not, right-click on "Command Prompt" and choose "Run as Administrator" from the popup menu. CD to C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\ATK Package\ATK Hotkey and execute HControl.exe.

I've already do that.
Uninstall ATK, reboot, install v.1.0.0014, reboot... and nothing

i've tried that with v8, v10, v14

I'm sure the keyboard is working, because before my "bricking", i saw light..

maybe the RMA has forget to connect a cable... ? ...

dstrakele
01-20-2012, 03:00 AM
That is a possibility, hard to believe as it is... I've also seen posts where the user said it came back from ASUS with the cable connected upside down.

If it is not flashing on POST, that would suggest a hardware cause. I recommend you PM Chastity@ASUS for further recommendations.

it's not very important after all... but i payed for that !

is there any way to open the laptop and check if a cable is not correctly connected without break the warranty ?

01-20-2012, 04:34 AM
kb0sdq, If you download and run the program GPU-Z, you will see that it should show the vbios version that ends in 038352. For some reason, that escapes me at the moment, the BIOS and GPU-Z show different verion numbers but they are both the same and correct.
Thank you very much for the info. Was wondering bout that.

This is a common problem. (You'll see a lot about it in the TP threads.) Some units seem to have this issue, others don't. You might try a different touchpad driver....if you are using a Sentelic TP and currently using v9.1.3.5, try 9.1.7.7. If you're using 9.1.7.7., try 9.1.3.5. What can I say...it's an imprecise science! :)

This doesn't affect your other drivers. And you can just install the chipset over the top of the old one. (This isn't the case with all drivers, but it does apply to the Intel chipset.)

WARNING!!!! The latest chipset drivers messed with my clock settings on my ASUS G73JH which lead to low performance. The clocks would always linger around ~1800 instead of going from 937-2.8ghz. IDK if it is just me that is effected, but I highly recommend staying with the

I'm a noob when it comes to drivers, what's Intel RST? Also, I have my laptop on ASUS auto update, how do I know whether my chipset drivers have been updated or not?

Another topic, if I may, I finally found the source of my high ping problem. It was apparently my Trend Micro Internet Security Anti-Virus that came with my notebook when I bought it. It actually has an issue with increasing ping times dramatically. I'm thinking of replacing it with another anti-virus, which I don't mind paying, what would be a reliable and good anti-virus (sub based/payed)? I know a bit about Norton and it seems to be popular, but I have had bad experiences with it's free version.

As I can understand, you want to get the best performance from your notebook :)

Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) is a utility for you're hard disc to make it work faster/better.

Take a look at my thread New notebook? Look here! (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?9082-New-notebook-Look-here!) In there is a link for all bloatware that comes preinstalled on your notebook that you don't need and direct link to intel support and graphic support :)

Also I have posted some direct links to AV programs that I recommend :)

I hope this helps :)

If you can boot into Windows normally or via Safe Mode, try running Command Prompt as Administrator then type "sfc /scannow" and hit enter. (without quotes and a space between c and /)

When you say "auto update," are you talking about Windows Updates, or the Asus Live Update program? Windows Updates don't generally update the Intel chipset...you need to do that yourself. And Asus Live Update is bad, glitchy, intrusive software. It's best to uninstall Asus Live Update and do your driver updates manually.

Intel RST has several functions. In RAID-enabled systems, it's obviously the RAID driver and offers an array of functions associated with that. This doesn't apply to most of out laptops, of course, because we're not running RAIDs in our laptops.

But we do often have AHCI enabled in our laptops (and should if we don't), and the RST is an alternate AHCI driver (to the generic Windows AHCI driver). It offers a few other perks that are meant to optimize performance and power use by the storage devices.....native command queuing, SATA hot plugging (not really applicable to most laptop situations), large disk support, disk password protection, and ODD power optimization. (Yes....it evens affects the ODD.)

I always install it in every system I build or set up, but I disable all its notifications.

It's a mix of drivers that applies to many G-series, particularly the current models. There are a lot of G-series models and configurations, so it would likely become an unwieldy mess to try and have separate drivers threads for all of them. Since most essential drivers overlap, it makes sense to keep the driver links as "central" as possible....that seems to be the most efficient approach for most owners.

Hi, JR..

I would like to suggest you move your recommendation from the Sentelic Touchpad 9.1.3.5 to the
Sentelic Touchpad 9.1.7.7 version (on the 1st page). Basing on the current user trending, seems like
the 9.1.7.7 version is more stable.. Thanks. :)

VirusX, if you have not fixed your problem yet, try this. Uninstall CCC with 'Express Uninstall All AMD Software' option then Reboot, and reinstall CCC 12.1 or 12.2 pre-certified (http://t.co/fgKeQqoG) with 'Express' option.
