Hi,

I'm wondering when the JT-CH71 model will be releasing, Newegg has its release date as November 4th, is this correct?

Also, I have an SSD in my current computer that I want to move over to the JT-CH71 - it has two 2.5" SATA drive bays correct? I want to have my 2.5" 512GB SATA SSD as the OS/Boot Drive, and the 1TB (7200rpm) HDD that it comes with for Storage.

Is this possible? (Please tell me it is... :()

... It seems we have nothing to fear in terms of 2.5" SSDs. It's simply a matter of removing the support for the PCIE and placing the SSD in the empty drive port.

Thanks Gentech PC!

Release date should be Nov. 4th, if I'm correct. But no other retailers except for bhphotovideo and Newegg have them up for order yet, so we don't have an accurate answer.

Yeah, there is an extra slot for a 2.5" drive, so you're in good shape.

Optical drive bay has a single screw to release.

What does this have to do with anything mentioned above?

I do have a question though: What size is this optical drive? I'm interested in getting an Optical HDD Caddy, but I don't know if I need a 12.7mm unit or a 9.5mm unit.

I cant buy the ASUS G751JT-CH71 from a reseller like xoticPC it seems.

I want that specific model because all I need is a 970M and a regular HDD, I already have an SSD, and the drive caddy I can buy aftermarket.
