Good afternoon,

I purchased a G750JS-T4173H (http://www.fnac.pt/a804343) last Friday and the first thing I did was to install an SSD (Samsung EVO 840 250GB (http://www.fnac.pt/a722074)), install Windows 8.1 on it and format the other drive.

Since yesterday, I have it connected to my AOG 23" monitor (through HDMI) and, after a little bit, a generalized lag across the entire operating system begins to increase (windows switching, mouse moving, keyboard typing).

After 2 or 3 minutes it becomes unbearable.

Switching from "Extend" to "PC screen only" fixes the problem.
Switching from "Extend" to "Secondary screen only" fixes the problem, but it starts again after a while.

I have all the drivers installed. The laptop is running on "High Performance" plugged-in, without battery.

UPDATE: The problem is the touch-capability of the second screen. If I disable it (by not connecting the USB cable that comes from the monitor) the problem doesn't happen.

Best regards,
Pedro

Pedro, what is the AOC monitor model number?

There may be software available with the monitor that you can install to tune the touch function to work better with the G750JS. Did you try that?

Also, the G750 series USB ports are all USB 3.0, and some devices don't meet USB 3.0 specs and will only work correctly on USB 2.0 ports. There are a number of headphones, controllers, and other USB 2.0 compatible devices that don't work well with the G750 USB 3.0 ports.

You might file a Technical Inquiry with Asus asking about a solution, and also file a support request with the AOC site with the same question.

IDK if the new Asus G751 series has a USB 2.0 port, or if it also has all USB 3.0 ports...
