View Full Version : ASUS G750JZ Mouse lag/freeze in Windows 8.1 Pro

Hello, i have ASUS G750JZ with Windows 8.1 Pro Installed. For a few months, i have been experiencing Mouse freezing when doing normal daily tasks - web browsing, working in programs (not gaming). The mouse just stops for part of a second, and then starts working again.

Browsing the net i found 3 things, but none of them worked out.
1. First thing is to change delay (but i'm not using touchpad- i'm using mouse), by going into Settings -> Change PC settings -> Some nested menus here -> No delay
2. Second thing i found was, Microsoft Fix for mouse stutter and lag when playing games. Thing is, i am not playing any games, so i see no point why it would freeze.
3. Some people pointed out that if u have mouse plugged into USB 3.0, this can occur. Since my laptop does not have USB 2.0, i must use USB 3.0 for mouse.

Anyone experienced this kind of problem?
And how would i solve it ? It really gets annoying.
Thanks in advance

I posted this a bit back but it didn't publish and I forgot to do so when I had the chance. I'll add info later

Okay here I am again.

I cannot help you fix it entirely, though a semi-fix for when gaming would be to edit your game .exe

Right click .exe > Properties > Compatibility (tab) > Run in Windows 8 -AND- Disable DPI scaling.

For Windows itself, during desktop use I haven't encountered the issue, only during games, specifically World of Warcraft. In fact, that's the only game I've found it in so far.

Microsoft has apparently submitted a fix, however it's not working for me, it won't allow me to install it. You may be in luck, however.
