Hi there,

i have a problem with my g75vw. if i play games like WoW and League of legends my laptop turns off. I got no Bluescreen or sth i just turns off like i press the power button for a few seconds.

I tried:
-GPU Stress test with no errors
-CPU Stress test with no errors
-Memory Stress test with no errors
-HDD Stress test with no errors
-everything togehter no problems
-tempratures all ok
-new power supply doen't change anything
-reinstalled Windows (first 7 then 8.1 and then again 7) all clean with pre formated HDD. Nothing changed.

Windows eventlog shows: (hope i translate it correct)
critical: the system rebooted without cleanly shutting down first.
in the same second just before the critical error: information: the file system filter "aswSP" (6.0, 2014‎-‎11‎-‎06T14:09:55.000000000Z) has successfully loaded into the Filter Manager registers.

That also happens with AVG and AntiVir filters.

I have no clue how to fix the Problem. If i play Minecraft no Blackouts happen. But with nearly all other games. Does anyone has a clue? My warranty is expired since 4 Month so i cant send it in.

Thanks for your help
Thomas

p.s. hope my english is good enough.

Could be an Avast issue. http://www.solvusoft.com/en/files/bsod-blue-screen-error/sys/windows/avast-software-a-s/avast-antivirus-system/aswsp-sys/

Try disabling Avast for 1 hour etc. while playing the game, see if problem occurs?

Uninstalled avast and it doesnt change anything. Blackouts are still there.

I just posted about the same issue essentially. Black screen crash (no blue screen, no proper shut down) when gaming (mine started with LoL). Except mine has gotten even worse and I haven't found the problem. It still persists outside of antivirus, as it has occurred with just Microsoft Security Essentials operating.

I have exact same issue. It is 100% not related to background programs running or even specific software. Here is my post and all the things I tried so far.

It seems the only benefits I found are turning down windows power options and turning down nvidia preferences to balanced or lower and turning down in game graphics. The combination of all 3 seem to work.
