toronto699, didn't yours have the i7 4710HQ CPU?, this one has the better Core i7 4860HQ CPU, maybe you should swap this in for yours :)

hmscott u are correct the G751-JY-HD72X I have has the 4710HQ CPU , and the BD has been replaced with an SSD and the the hard drive is now SSD , maybe I should swap them all over to this newegg G751, im really happy with the 751-JY-DH72X. Any one looking for a new G751 should consider this one from new egg the price cannot be beat . But buy what u can afford. I got a Good Deal From The place I bought my G751 the place u recommended Hmscott {HIDevolution.com} as 2 other CBC TV editors ordered from there to.

toronto699, it might not be enough of a difference to make it worthwhile upsetting your smooth running set up :)

Also, there have been reports of odd Audio issues - all the sound coming from the subwoofer - no L/R output, and another one where all 3 speakers were putting out the same audio - weird stuff. So check the new one for audio issues before jumping into it.

Glad to see so many happy users of the new G751 :)

Yes I know about the audio issues , I almost bought a G751-JT from "Canada Computes" but right out of the Box at the store there was an issue with " Audio From Sub Only" after a week Canada Computes Techies could not solve the issue . So I never bought it , thank goodness for "Corporate American Express" I could just walk away. So Far The DH72X works well with my Sony Vegas Editor Software and my Sony Broadcast TV Beta Cam , and my satellite hardware and software

I was looking at these today on PowerNotebooks.com. I am really liking the PCIe SSD and 4 USB 3.0, but I am waiting for Windows 10. So for now I'll keep chugging along with my G73jh. :cool:

toronto699, let's hope Asus has the problem sorted out, I have heard more recent buyers are reporting the audio is working fine.

If you end up testing the 4860HQ, please post how it performs compared to the 4710HQ :)

I have W10 running on an asus G30AB PC {dual boot} {W8.1, W10} no problems with W10 so far...I don't think anyone will have a lower price for the DH72X than new egg has now with that CPU {4860HQ }
