Hi all,

I have been scouring this site trying to find an answer, so if this is redundant it's not because I didn't look.

I just bought a 240g solid state drive, and a 32g usb drive so I could create a system restore on the usb drive. I tried recovering windows from the flash drive several times but it talks about a missing partition.

I am curious what I'm doing wrong, and how to fix it.

I'm pretty computer illiterate as far as drivers go... I know just enough to be dangerous, and plug stuff in. Dumb it down if ya don't mind.

Thanks for the help, in advance.

Cheers,

Thyrd

sounds like you either over wrote your recover partition or its corrupt. No problem just download an Windows 8.1.1 Core ISO and reinstall clean.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media
Then download all the latest driver from Asus Support Downloads (http://support.asus.com/ServiceHome.aspx?SLanguage=en)
