Hey, I was debating spending the extra money for M2 SSD since I heard the 1500 dollar edition doesn't include a M2 Adapter. Although I heard that the M2 is done through a Sata 3 adapter bottlenecking the speed? Is that the case? If so, is there a point to M2 over SATA3? Or does it operate at full speed?

How much will I notice M2 vs SATA3? Also is it XP941 Samsung M2?

That seems to be a very poorly worded reply responding to an inaccurate post, which makes it all very confusing. It seems like the post Marshall is responding to is referencing some sort of "adapter" that the M2 would plug into, and then the "adapter" would be plugged into the SATA3 connector, as some sort of bridge to make two incompatible things compatible, which is a pretty standard use of the term adapter in my opinion, but unfortunately that is not how it works. As I understand it, there are two distinct connectors in the primary slot, one of them is M2PCIe, one is SATA3, but since the slot is shaped for a 2.5" drive, an M2SSD doesn't fit properly without a mounting bracket to hold it in place, and I think the "adapter" that Marshall references is simply the mounting bracket.
