Hello all,

I've just bought a ROG G751JY-T7067H, but after 2 weeks, I broke the screen...
I need to buy another one, the reference is LG LP173WF4-SPD1, but I found only LP173WF4-SPF1 on google, is it the same screen ?
Have you got a specific URL where I can find a LP173WF4-SPD1 ? Where can I buy spare parts for Asus ROG ?

Thank you !

LG iPS screen has a reputation of having backlight bleeding. but most of them i encounter can be cure by a simple and light massage on the affected area.. although i find it weird :D

It's just this Vovastr person repeating the same thing over and over about a display that he thinks has the color reproduction cabaility of a budget phone from 10 years ago because he saw it on a website.

I have a LGD046C in my G751JY and it runs comfortably at 100Hz with a very standard color space.
Also no light bleed.

Guys but u will have slight light bleed it is just LEDs shining light through bcos they dont use proper black tape strip to cover light pas through .. it is not any fault .. it is just how screens are made..

Anyway wanted show you how LP173WF4-SPF1 perform .. here in lenovo Y70 I cant see bad thing on it ... you can check below pics..
But google brought me here because I have other purpose to locate LP173WF4-SPF1 ...

And I wanted to remove this crap chi mei screen and replace it with IPS LP173WF4-SPF1 ...
But u now saying it is **** ??? OMG I really don't know people has no limits in satisfaction ...
By the way this LP173WF4-SPF1 screen is installed in brand new Acer Nitro 17 and looks perfect too ...

No, actually mine is a G751JY-T7065D.
I haven't seen the model you're referencing before. The screen performs just fine image-wsie. I really can't post any photos of it because that wouldn't really relay what it actually looks like. Light bleed and miscolorations are times more noticeable when in person.

Alright so I found out using hwinfo86 that my FULL display model is indeed:
Monitor Name (Manuf): LG Display LP173WF4-SPD1

If it will help you make the comparison, here are some shots.
This is a pure black image - the actual color is very close to the color of the frame of the display but the light adjustment flares it up A LOT.
You can see that the tiny but of light bleed that there is, is located on the botom left and towards the bottom right. Pure black screen is the ONLY time you can possibly notice this and I say again - this is like 5x brighter than real life.

Again, the camera adds a lot of flare and a lot more reflection to the image. In actuality, the image is much softer and nicer looking.

I think we're pretty much looking at the same screens. It's a great display.

On that first picture it suffers quite too much bleed .. many places ...
shame u didn't make that rainbow lock screen with most open lid ..
anyway it is nice screen .. but very difficult to source for purchase ..

Uhm...no.

Here's where the bleed is. Everything else is reflections from the light in my room. And like I said - the camera made this RIDICULOUSLY bright.

Also the screen looks the same going up and down. It looks the same way as it does on the Lenovo. Absolutely no difference compared to straight on.

I have only one small bleed on same place as you have - on the right bottom .

I can confirm poor quality of my brand new G751JY screen :(
Great laptop, mediocre sound (too much "tunnel effect" because comes from behind the display), mediocre screen.
I've had an incredible AUO B156HW01 v.4 FullHD matte, and was another world in terms of colors and Gamut (96% Adobe RGB). This one in comparison looks yellowish/greenish, misses many red tones and can't catch many colors. A real pity and disappointing for such an expensive gaming laptop!
Calibration is not sufficient to gain good quality colors: won't change that much.

Suggestions for a high-quality replacement screen, possibly 60Hz (some games todays are capped at 60fps, so for best smoothness original 75Hz is not a good idea)?
