Hi, I've got another thread about this specifically for Elite: Dangerous but in debugging the issue I found there's some default software that is blocking any games from starting. Specifically I couldn't start Elite: Dangerous, Assetto Corsa, Civ: BE, or 3DMark. They all complained, crashed or just sat and spun.

Purchased a brand new ROG G20AJ from Best Buy with the i7, GTX 760 and 16GB ram. Only software installed is the default Asus stuff, a standard Windows update and NVidia driver update. So far to remedy, I have to kill all non-Windows standard processes and once that's done all games start up perfectly. Now in the process of isolating which one it is.

Anybody run into this yet? Will probably do a factory restore and start over once I figure out what's killing it.

Thanks,
Carl

It's the VirtuWatt software. Turn it off and the games work ok.
