Hi so i just got this great pc G20 <3
so it comes with a preinstalled Windows 8.1 if i at somepoint wish to format and reinstall Windows how would i proceed ?
i see the harddrive split into 2 c drive has the fresh installed Windows and the other is 700gb free Space

my old computer had a system recovery drive but i dont seem to have this anywhere
only the preinstalled windows
do i need to manually do a backup this version of Windows for later use ?

or can i simply press some F10 button during poweron to start a recover ?

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media
another option is to make a USB backup of windows of your machine , in the charms bar select search , type recovery , u need a 32 GB USB Drive. to make a USB bootable recovery drive , option 2 is what most do make your own bootable USB drive with W recovery

http://www.asus.com/Desktops/ROG_G20AJ/HelpDesk_Download/
you can down load all the G20 drivers and software from here
or http://www.service.asus.com/#!downloads/c1wax type your G20 model in the box for all drivers and software

Ok so i just figured out while messing around with some software to make recovery partition
The computer allready comes with a HIDDEN partition that is not accessable from Windows with the recovery info on it
all you have to do is Press F9 during poweron and it will take you to a recovery menu
there is options to recover from usb cd etc. instead chose reset
there is a option for resetting to factory default install

Good to know does the G20 manual say how to back up the asus image? or does manual say anything about backing up the software or hard drive most people don't read manuals..ha ha
