I've encounter problem with my harddrive just like this:

Question 1:
Is this a harddrive problem?

if so, can you guys advice me what kind of brand should i buy , to replace it...
and also

Question 2:
how can i transfer all my files to the other harddrive? or can i transfer all my files without reformating it?

By the way guys i have this g73jh for only about 11months..

It would be better to just describe the problem....(I don't want to go watch a youtube video ;)). But I'll just assume you are saying you have a bad hard drive. If it's only 11 months old, it would still be under warranty, if you want to go that route.

You can save your data as long as the hard drive is functional. If the drive is failing, you need to do that ASAP. The easiest way is to make an image of this drive, saved onto an external hard drive, that you can simply restore to a new drive, if you get one. (I'm not clear on what you mean by "transferring without reformatting it.")

Are you talking about the occasional squeak, or the tapping? The tapping sounds like a woodpecker, I have one outside, right now, making that exact same noise. (I'm not making light of your problem, seriously.)

The squeak is definitely HDD. I hear it only occasionally on my G74.

Chen, do you need to transfer your whole Windows installation to a different hard drive? Or is this a separate drive you just use for data?
