I play alot of X plane 10 which only uses one core when flying and I noticed that the cpu usage is really low... around 30%. What exactly does this mean when only using one core?

Am I only using 30% of that one core or of all 4 cores? .

fabrimacator21, I made a longer reply for you here:

To answer this question, 30% is the total used for all 8 cores. 12% per core, so that means you are using almost 3 cores at 30%, out of 8 total.

Why do you have XTU in the title?

Sorry I forgot to mention that xtu was telling me 30% CPU usage.... I wasn't sure if different monitoring tools had different definitions of "CPU usage".

fabrimacator21, no, it should be the same as others, they all query the system in the same way. Double check against Windows Task Manager.
