The G751 just came out a few months ago. I don't think there is a new video card on the market yet so it may be a few more months.

G751JL with GTX 965M is due out next month, but current plan is that the G751 design will be here for most, if not all of 2015. Refreshes based on updates from Nvidia and Intel will be rolled out as they come available, pending their respective launches. Recent Intel 5th Gen CPUs were 15/28W, not the quad-core parts with PCI-Express x16 that are required for G series.

Hi Marshall,

Thanks for the information and update.

fyi.
Also wanted to remind everyone that Marshall's information is for worldwide, so customers will need to check with their local ASUS offices to confirm if and when those new models will be available in their region.

965m vs 970m, GPUboss early numbers, listed as rumored right now. They have the VRAM incorrect according to other sites, and the Amazon listing of 2GB VRAM, and most 970m's have 3GB VRAM not 6GB VRAM

Marshall, does the G751JL have Optimus?

No Optimus. AFAIK it's essentially the same GM104 chip as 970/980M, just cut accordingly.

Nvidia didn't really 'silent' launch it so much. We got the same push, it's just we didn't have anything retail ready and since it's the same G751 design we chose to wait until closer to retail launch to start posting news about it :) We'll do some testing.

Regarding double memory: AFAIK right now only limited 980Ms have double memory which we use for the G750 for some reason......

@Marshall: Is it GM104 or GM204(like on GTX970m&GTX980m) ? I know you said that "it's actually the same" but I didn't clearly understand. Thanks!
