View Full Version : Help at Asus G20.

hello there.. I just bought a Asus g20 at newegg.com and im been using it for over a month with no problem.. but ever since last Tuesday the computer started crashing all of the sudden with no BSOD while im playing tera online.. ive tried restoring it to its factory default setting but still do the same thing.. everytime I tried playing again it crashes with no BSOD error or whatsoever it just reboot itself.. ive seen some article that theres a problem with gtx 760 on asus g20? im kinda feel fraustrated trying to figure out what going on with this computer.. thanks in advance..

many are having problems with their G20 , if u can return it would be my suggestion , We went through 2 G20 both had BSOD issues . We could not find a fix

that's the thing.. :( it already past 30days return.. is there any way to fix the issue.. :S

oh man.. ill take months to fix this thing off.. do you think changing the gpu will fix the problem? thanks for fast reply

i manage to fix the issue that cause the computer to crash while playing games.. now its good to go.. and im happy with the computer again.. thank you for the assist..

sorry i forgot to share to everyone how i did it coz i got excited playing again.. but before everything.. im not saying that this would work for everyone.. it just happen that it work for me.. all i did was update the bios and remove virtuwatt.. not really sure what virtuwatt does? but from what i understand it suppose to discrete the gpu from using too much power when your not playing or using apps that uses that graphics card or something.. so i kinda wondering if im having enough power while im playing though.. but ever since i remove this virtuwatt my computer doesnt crash anymore while playing.. probably mine came with bugged virtuwatt or or something..

u found the fix others have used , others have removed virtuwatt to prevent crashes , and have no problems afterword . removing virtuwatt will not harm your G20 or any hardware .
