So I was checking out specs for some of the new ROG compact desktops and saw a little snippet about the Aegis Application, but I can't find anything about it anywhere, no videos, no reviews, no downloads, nothing!

Does anyone know anything about this app? Very curious, thx!

yea, I checked that out already. I didn't find any info on the Aegis App, which is what I really want to know about. Is there a post I'm missing maybe?

Aegis is kind of a thermal and system load monitor, not really anything special.

It has two modes, a fancy fullscreen-overlay mode with lots of animations, which looks a bit techy in a nuclear war command center kinda style, in exchange for about 13% load on one of your cores. It is actually quite hard to extract information from this mode, or find the page you are looking for.

Then a smaller widget variant, that basically has the same info just with a more traditional and condensed layout, which pretty much requires no cpu power at all.

If you ask me, it is purely a cosmetic thing, there are other system monitor applications that do the actual job a lot better, but do not look as fancy. Maybe you can even find one that does look fancy and does the job better.

Thats dissapointing. I was starting to look for a system monitor which is why I was curious. I'm running windows 8.1 and lost my old system monitor widget when I installed the newer OS. What are some good ones that don't put extra load on your cores lol? Not looking for anything fancy, just to tell me how everything is running :)

I was just using a few of the windows 7 widgets that I got from third party sites (honestly I don't remember them). Not tons of info on it but I've made some upgrades since and want to keep a closer eye on things.

I will check out the posted one, thanks!
