Guys, is there a way to throttle down the GPU while watching a movie? Surely watching a 720P vid doesn't require the full firepower of a 460M chipset? Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mike

You could try using an overclock tool and just turning your GPU clocks down instead of up possibly, although I don't know if you can force it to stay at that lower clock without ramping up or not.

Is there a hardware acceleration option on someplace? Turn it off.

I've been looking for a hardware accelerated option button somewhere but haven' been able to find it. The GPU ramps up when playing through Windows Media Player or Media Player Classic.

Is this a dvd, or ...

Also, do this http://www.asusrog.com/forums/showthread.php?5126-Any-Kind-of-Lag-and-Atheros-WiFi-Card just in case whether you use wifi or not.

Well, I solved it by disabling the prefer CUDA acceleration option in the COREAvc preferences!!!
BTW, thanks or the WiFi card update thread!
