I know, I know... WHAT?

Yeah, my G751Jm from BB has the black vent ports, Why not red?

I want red....???

I suppose I could take the darn thing apart and paint 'em, but WHY???
( Sorry sad attempt at comedy, I know...)

But seriously, Is there a real reason why some are red vented and others are not?

Some people will pay more for red? The ports are colored based on the model. For what it is worth I would of prefered the black given the choice.

You should return the BB one and get the JT model from amazon, A LOT, believe me a LOT more performance and I think the price difference is 100-200.

galladanb, I second HulkSmash's suggestion, the JT doesn't have Optimus, and the 970m in the JT might be one of the last with a stock vBIOS that allows OC'ing - product in channel may be it for now. IDK if Asus will ship with OC locked vBIOS - but reports of new Nvidia GTX9xxM having locked vBIOS's have started to come in...

NVIDIA has begun shipping new GTX9xxM cards with a vBIOS that blocks core overclocking!
