Thanks for that toronto, i was able to remove my optical drive. But i am unable to remove the black cover from it (which has the eject button /DVD logo) inorder to put that into the new optical drive. Is there a guide that shows how to? I just want to make sure i know all of this before i go ahead and buy the blueray drive. Never mind it just needs to be pulled hard. it worked.

So my final question is can i buy this ? will it work? Saw this in another post. http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-UJ-267-Blu-Ray-Recorder-Internal/dp/B00ICXRIWU/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1425092984&sr=8-5&keywords=9.5+mm+blu+ray+drive
