View Full Version : How to identify the motherboard

I was looking at hwinfo64 and it just says asus motherboard
I have a asus G73jh laptop (bestbuy) version 6gb ram I7-Q720 win7 x64
How do I know if it is rampage or other?
Sorry for the noob question
Also this machine will not do the gpu folding at home tought it would

The mobile motherboards don't fall into any of the desktop categories like "rampage", so the best you could hope for would be a model number. It doesn't really matter though because there aren't different boards available for your chassis. You really only need the model if you have a dead part and in that case you will be opening the chassis anyway.

You should be able to do F@H on that machine. It isn't as powerful as a desktop, but it will work. Please start a thread in the F@H section and describe the problem or error message in more detail. We should be able to get you up & running.

thank you very much for the reply. I will look into it cause I have been having issues ever since I tried to update the video drivers currently i have cat 10.xx that is available now . again thanks.
