I recently installed Windows 10 Technical Preview. All was going good then 3 days later my computer crashes. It's a g75v Asus r.o.g. I've taken it to a computer shop but they can't even reinstall win 7 on a new hard drive on my laptop. What's happened?

Incompetent computer shop. Hope you got a refund.

You need access to a working computer and internet, so you can download and reinstall a bootable USB Win7 or Win8 image for free from Microsoft's support site (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool).

You need a 4GB or larger USB 2.0 flash drive, which can probably be purchased at your local dollar store.

You need a Win7/8 license key to activate, there should be one on a little Microsoft sticker somewhere on the laptop (usually on the back, often underneath the battery or some other user-removable part).

You need about 15-20 minutes. Maybe less since your laptop is a ROG. ;)

yes is you need help with Window 10 https://www.tenforums.com/forum.php. Your not giving us much information on your notebook, did it come with Win 7 or Win8. If you don't have a win 7 home perineum sticker on the bottom with a OEM product key. You most likely have on that came with Window 8. The two replies above are your answer you need to download either Window 7 HP or Windows 8.1 Core these ISO will find your embedded win 8 key and auto activate for Windows 8 if. Window 7 you'll need legal key if someone remove that sticker your out of luck. This sticky thread has lots of information on upgrading and downgrading (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?28758-GUIDE-G55-G75-Upgrade-Notes&country=&status=)

I guess you just found out why if your not prepared to Clean install your computer you should never install any Beta Software especially Beta Operation System. It will be several months before Window 10 will be ready for the general public.
