View Full Version : Bios Problem.

I have a x61sf notebook and just noticed that DRAM frequency is 333.3 mhz(according to cpu-z) yet it can be 800mhz but i can not change it because there is no advanced chipset menu or else on bios.Just couldnt find how to change the values.hope you could help.Thanks.

I'm not sure about your machine but many can downclock on the fly. Are you sure that it is this low when under intense load?

Well,yes in cpu-z it says Fsb : DRAm = 8/10 and i cant find a way to change that.i can upload an image if needed.

What software was running when you looked at CPUz? Some sort of benchmarking tool?

Yeah,some kind . the program is cpu-z it gathers information about main devices of the system.

CPUz does not create any load. You would need another synthetic load testing tool like LinX to create a load and force the machine to clock up. If the system is at idle it is *supposed* to be slower to save power. It should automatically go faster when you need it. Does that make sense?
