Hi,

I saw this Asus Notebook model and planning to buy it. Can anyone confirm with me this is an official model.

Also, the model does not specifically specify 3d capabilities like G53JW-3DE. Can anyone confirm if this laptop has 3D Naked Eye Technology and 3D Nvidia Vision Technology.

Regards

Hi

Where are you planning to buy your new notebook?

As I can see when I'm searching on it on the web, a lot of G53SX-S1185V show's up with a picture with 3D, but it's no info about it in specs :S

Australia

There are many shops here that stock this model but no one including ASUS themselves can give me a straight answer.

Asus Australia has probably the worst presales service I've ever encountered.

Ok, If your going to buy it in a store in Australia, look on the computer and see if it is like THIS ONE (http://www.laptopspec.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Asus-ROG-G53SX-3D.jpg).

On the top of the screen where the webcam is, you can read it's a 3D version (to the left for the cam)

So, to be sure you get an 3D version compare the picture with the one you've been looking on. And also ask the sellers if 3D glasses follows with the computer and it is a 120Hz screen.

Fuzon, I'll probably buy it off an online store. I have not seen this stock in any local offline retailer but only in online shops such as warcom, mwave australia, and umart. Hence me asking the question.

You could still ask questions if it's a online store or local retailer :)
