Hello everyone, so my problem is that i just noticed my back light keyboard for my ASUS G46 isn't turning on anymore. I don't think its broken due to it turning on for a few seconds during startup, but after that it turns back off. I've tried playing with the on and off
buttons like fn+f3 and fn=f4, but that didn't do anything. Keep in mind, im not super computer savoy so please give me step by step
instructions on how to fix this if you have any tips. Thank you!

I would bet that windows installed a new atk package or filter keys driver.

To fix it first uninstall the ATK package.

Press the windows key (located on the bottom left of your keyboard) and the "R" key at the same time. This will bring up a run prompt.

In the run prompt type "appwiz.cpl" and press enter, this will open up the "programs and features" window.

Find the "ATK package" and remove it. If it prompts you to restart, go ahead and restart then download the new ATK package.

Once downloaded double click on "ATKPackage_Win7_8_VER100027.zip" and run the setup file.

Agree to install and keep clicking next until finished. Restart if you have to then press "FN" and "F4" at the same time.

If this didn't fix the issue reinstall the filter keys.

Same process for installation.

Let us know if this works.
