Unfortunately not supported by the NVIDIA yet. I think we should wait for new driver version.

This might be a teaser from ASUS. They might have gotten the news that a G-sync NVidia driver will come out soon and they have announced the Bios developer team to make a new bios version for the upcoming Nvidia G-sync drivers. I'm quite excited by this thing to be honest. Hopefully NVidia will announce a new set of drivers in a couple of weeks :D.

wait wait wait

ok..so you have BIOS 207..for the JTs though we are still 206.. anyway..so you have g-sync without using the modded driver?? if yes, what is your nvidia driver? from nvidia or from asus?

also if you have g-sync enabled..do you still have some blank screen issues still when on low fps on some games?

has anyone actually updated their bios to 207? if so, how is it working? then, if you have, and it is working fine, which nvidia driver are you using, and is it working fine as well, or are there problems? thanks.

I updated to 207. No G-Sync yet.

I have problems with 207.
1. I cant use usb keyboard until i Boot to OS. It just doesnt light up. For exaple Iam unable to write BIOS password or enter bios using USB keyboard.
2. System doesnt see my 2TB storage drive. I need to go to bios, then reboot to see it. If I just reboot it still doesnt see the drive.

My case i kind of a special one:
I have bios administrator and boot hdd password, also my 2tb drive has fully encrypted parition. So that may interfere somehow with bios. loading bios default settings didnt help.

I will revert back to 206

EDIT:
Flashing back 206 fixed all the problems. It is very odd that "enabling g-sync" causing that kind of troubles.

So problem with USB and not detecting HDD remains. Only now is random :-( It seems that I downgraded bios to 206 but EC FW is still newer version.

Does any one else have a problem with 207?

I have exactly the same problems since upgraded to 207. Switched back to 205 but the problem remains.
Any Idees?

That is only my guess. Since when downgrading it does not change. And problems remain.

Guys, please report this to Asus so they can pull that 207 update, they need this kind of feedback from your actual experience. They may even have a fix / workaround.

https://vip.asus.com <== create a login, register your laptop, file a Technical Inquiry listing what you found and ask what to do, ask if they are getting other reports and if so maybe they need to pull the 207 update and fix it.

Please let us know what Asus says - it may take a few efforts to get them to dig into it and get a good answer.

I updated my G751JY gtx980m bios to 207 version hoping that it would fix my problem. It didn't. The problem is that when it boots, the ASUS ROG logo flashes and then a blank screen appears with a blinking underscore and it lasts around 5-10 seconds before showing the Windows 8.1 logo. It takes another 5-10 seconds for Windows log on screen to appear. Anyone has this problem. Or if you know where I can find the thread, please let me know. Thanks. The new Bios version doesn't seem to make any difference in my case.
