View Full Version : G751JM AdobeRGB Color Space Information Requested before Purchasing

I'm in the market for a new laptop. My needs are a little specific and to be honest I'm not sure I can find one that meets them in my price range. (about $2000 CAD).

I am a gamer, but I'm also a graphic designer, and these two things, unfortunately, don't mesh very well together.

I have looked and looked and looked. The G751 meets a lot of my needs (I'm willing to compromise a little bit on the "gaming side" to get the specs I need for my design work). The G751JY meets the AdobeRGB color space of 71% according to Digital Trends (http://www.digitaltrends.com/laptop-reviews/asus-rog-g751jy-dh71-review/), oddly enough only a 56% match according to Notebook Check (http://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-G751JY-T7009H-Notebook-Review.133178.0.html). Notebook Check also mentions screen bleeding. The JY model is also over what I'm looking ideally to spend.

Is anyone able to (or have the equipment to after calibration) tell me what the G751JM meets on the AdobeRGB spectrum or can speak to the screen bleed on dark images (on either model)?

Thanks if anyone can help fill in this gap of information I need to finalize my decision.

I've found the answer, so I thought I would post it here just in case anyone else was wondering the values. Found buried deep within a photography forum:

My Spyder4 reported 91 % sRGB coverance (SIC) and 71% adobeRGB
