Inches hungry? I have a 26-inches monitor and Hilbert owns a 30-inches one! So yes we are inches-hungry here. Nowadays, more and more manufacturers are joining the club of large and wide displays for our desktops. This time, ASUS Technology announced not one nor two but three monitors, up to 27-inches, called VK278Q, VE278Q and VE276Q respectively. All of them have LED backlight (except the last one - VE276Q) and support native max resolution of 1920x1080. The response time is gaming friendly 2ms, considering that’s a LCD monitor and not a CRT one. Other features, dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000,000:1 , embedded stereo speakers of 3Watt and a webcam with 2MPxls. As for output connectivity, there are D-Sub, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort.

The VK278Q costs EUR/$259, while you could find VE278Q a little cheaper at EUR/$339 but without the 2mp webcam. For shorter pocket-wallets, take a look at ASUS third model for EUR/$339, but this option comes with limited contrast ratio at 100,000:1 and neither webcam.
