View Full Version : asus g73sw bluescreen 116 (sandybridge-prob?)

for 3 days now i got a problem that whenever i play games (Grotesque tactics2, MW3, WoW, LoL, Payday, Magicka etc etc etc) after a few moments after gamestart i get a blackscreen and the laptop restarts. after restart it sais i had a bluescreen 116, laptop is as cool as always, so most probably no heating problem.

installed then latest mainboard-, sound, graphics-, LAN-driver, no change.

as i bought the laptop on 20th of jan. it is one of those with the sandy bridge prob. i phoned support immediately, they said they will call/mail me back, but guess what... never happened...

now i mention that my folders get copy/write-protected. but i didn't do that. mentioned this with my usual download-folder; whenever i download something it goes in there. since today i get the message "error, no right to write in that folder". i then remove the write-prot and then i can safe something in there, as long as i have the window open where i set those rights... immediately after closing the window i have the problem again.

problem also seems to get worse, for last 2 days i could play at least LoL for an hour or 2 without bluescreen, now i can't play whis game as well.

Is there anything in the Windows Event log that might indicate the source?
