Greetings,

Lately tried to connect G75vw screen to VGA slot using non-original cable from another laptop, and looks like my VGA is not working no more, because screen is not working and while running computer connected to monitor, it detects standart VGA graphical adapter only, maximum resolution is 1280x1024, and most video applications are forbidden. My question is: If VGA is broken, how can I replace it? Shell I get new graphical card, or what could be the solution?

Thank you in advance.

Hi! Try to update/reflash bios of your laptop also you can flash vga bios separately.

I'm not sure what the max resolution is from the VGA port but I would recommend using the HDMI port on that side if your monitor supports HDMI, if not get a VGA to HDMI adapter. You HDMI audio will not work but you can use audio patch cord and besides, it wouldn't work with VGA anyway. I would recommend NOT flashing bios for this.
