As my G75 just broke down (faulty DCIN) I am thinking of upgrading - I just have a quick question regarding recovery: Is it possible to remove the hd and connect it to a different PC? I have different projects I didn't get to backup in time, and I don't really want to send my computer in for repairs since I'm getting a new one. I've had this one for years now, so it's getting tired

Yes if the hard drive is not what crashed you can put the drive in a USB adapter and get your files that way

Fantastic! What kind of adapter would I need? To be more specific, what's it called?

SATA to USB 3.0 or a external case will work just as well the adapter is quicker and cheaper unless you have a big drive you can put in it for back ups and storage then the external case work out pretty good.

I bought an ICY BOX IB-AC6034-U3 2.5" HDD Enclosure, so I can use it as a second backup drive. Backup of backups! Hehe

Thanks for your help, mate!

Yes back ups are a pain all the way until you need them then they can be worth anything
