I have tried all nvidia drivers, used the F9 factory restore a few times and still i get realy low fps about 7-90 fps jumping up and down most of the time around 10-20 Fps in the game "World of tanks" (single core using game).
Tried both with intel turbo boost on and off.
Tried that http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?3322-Sandybridge-Throttle-Issue-and-Workaround
and no difference.
Pls help me i cant use my really nice gaming laptop that i payed 18000:- Swedish kronor to play a simple game working on most computers.
And my 3d mark score is terrible mush lower then average g73jw.

What does DPC Latency Checker show you? Latency can cut into your frame rates.

What WiFi card is installed in your system?

What Antivirus, AntiMalware, and Firewall software have you installed?

What other applications have you installed to your G73jw?

Do you see any Errors or Warnings in your System or Application Event Logs?

How old is your system? Have you tried blowing out the fans and exhausts with compressed gas? There are videos on YouTube that describe this procedure. If you've got an older system, you may want to consider a repaste: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?946-G73JH-GPU-Overheating-Observations-and-Suggestions-(Read-This-First)

DPC = curent 192 absolute 1771
wifi card im using is Atheros AR9285 Wireles Network Adapter
Using the included Trend Micro Titanium interne security Tial.
At the moment i only got World of Tanks and cpu-z, dpc, hwinfo64, ccleaner and driver sweeper on the computer the rest is the stuff included from factory reset.
---
Event log errors:
A few Explorer crashes.
-
Event log varnings:
LMS Service cannot connect to Intel(R) MEI driver
Driver \Driver\FLxHCIc cant load for unit PCI\VEN_1B73&DEV_1400&SUBSYS_10001D5C&REV_01\4&c176247&0&00E3.
Service WLAN AutoConfig has ben stoped.
---
Will clean out the fans just to try.
---
I been monitoring the computer for a few days and im sure its the cpu that is crap.
The cpu goes into th leaf mode low energy wen playing games thats what giving frame drops down to around 4-5 fps and wen it bumps up tabout 2.5 ghz it gives me around 60-70 fps and wen on 2,9 ghz i get around 100+ fps so im like 75% shure it's somthing wrong with these i7-740qm prossesors.
Should be stable 2.9 ghz wen in turbo mode or els it isn't turbo if going down to about 1ghz wen turbo is suppose to be on.

Btw it's realy rare the cpu goes to 2.9 ghz as supose to in turbo mode mostly its siting around 2-2.5 ghz.

1 -Do this http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?5126-Any-Kind-of-Lag-and-Atheros-WiFi-Card

2 - disable Trend Micro and its autoupdating for test purposes or just uninstall it.

3 - a clean install is the best friend of any Asus notebook user. Asus included all of the worst crap and drivers on the shipped system drive. You can use your activation key on your notebook label if youndo a win install. And DONT use the driver cd or the drivers onnthe support page but find NEW drivers. ALL of them.

1. Gave me 40-60 higer ping. Didn't notice better FPS.
2. Gave no result.
3. I gues i got to do this one now. Damn Asus.

Btw. http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?3322-Sandybridge-Throttle-Issue-and-Workaround Didnt work for me on turbo only for quad mode. Still throttle in dual core/Turbo mode.

Ok done a new fresh instal of a win 7 64-bit and instaled all drivers manualy.
Sad to say it didnt give anny improvements. :(
Tryed to play the game Skyrim with nvidias new skyrim drivers and i got to say i can play a few min thn my fps drops dead.
If i press auto detect i get the high setting tryed on low also and whatever settings i do it always happens. the fps drops dead after a while :'(

The computer SHOULD be able to handle annything atleast on low gfx. :(

Hard to believe that ThrottleStop hasn't worked for you then. I'd be revisiting that option if I had your issue.
