do you mean the windows recovery partition?...
mine has the recovery partition but doesnt have the Windows installer (means if i format my pc, i cant reinstall it using my recovery.. so my recovery is useless)
Since i dont have the iso.. i just download the windows by following the instruction here (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-windows_install/how-to-download-the-official-microsoft-windows-81/d122366b-f6ca-42ab-87cc-fbea957718b6?auth=1) and i manually download and installed most of drivers myself (bloatwares not included)

note: you must know your windows product key first :D :D

Try here (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media) you don't need a product Key, as long as you download the same version of win 8.1 that you have Core and OEM the same Pro and single language are different . your notebook will supply the key on install. It built into your UEFI BIOS Chip Asus Support download (http://support.asus.com/download/options.aspx?SLanguage=en&type=1) is where you will download all the latest drivers for your notebook be sure to download the chipset drivers and have them ready to go as soon as you have windows installed.

It says I can not use this key for a commercial usage... How did you make it ?

Hopefully, you've downloaded the right windows installation DVD ( CORE, OEM, not VL ) - but somehow the configuration of the disk is wrong....
Within windows bootable USB open \sources\ei.cfg and change the content of this file so it will support installation of a CORE edition with OEM channel, NOT VL.
You can use this source to generate the ei.cfg file with the details I provided (http://labs.gidix.de/ei/) or simply copy the following:

[Edition]
Core
[Channel]
OEM
[VL]
0
I hope you've put windows installation in a USB and did not burn it....cuz if not - you'll need to reburn it.
This, will install Windows 8/8.1 in a way that will be compatible with the genuine serial we got from asus.

EDIT: OH.... dude - you don't have to download MS windows ISO from within windows update.... I personly hate it - cuz you'll never know what release of win 8.1 is that.
( there are about 5 releases for every type of the 5 different versions of windows, and about a 50 different based languages - so total of about 1250+ ISOs to download - NOT comforting )
The reason is simple - you'll want the latest, cuz then, you'l have to perform less windows update - which sums to a far more faster approach then to download some old release and then perform some 3GB+ of windows updates.

The best source that I know of, in which you can selectively download the latest ( win 8.1, x64, update 3, CORE ) is FROM HERE (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/53855-Windows-8-1-with-Update-ESDs-Repository#a1) - download the ESD file, run the decryption app with option 1 to generate an ISO disk - 1:1 copy vs MSDN files .
enjoy.

M8 - read my update, read the instruction in the download page I provided... install, and profit.
P.S - you don't need to know your genuine serial as the installation disk doesn't need it, and after you'll boot into windows and connect to the internet, the OS will automatically recognize your G751 and will auto register it with the correct genuine serial.

WORST CASE - if you've connected your g751 to the internet once, before the OS got screw - MS already registered your unique computer details with your unique product key of win 8.1. therefore a phone activation is possible.
MS has some phone number,( in your country), in which a machine will answer, ask you for your product ID ( get it from my computer->propeties ) and will give you your full product key so you can register your windows.

Awe then you have a enterprise version You'll have to deal with your IT department. The link I gave you last post will download the latest version and is the only Legal MS download site. If your original install was through your company or you try to download from a business computer you will have issues Enterprise Version is different from Core Pro or Signal Language.
Here is a link to the windows 8 forum (http://www.eightforums.com/gtsearch.php?cx=partner-pub-7156303416008077%3A205v6qk06j2&cof=FORID%3A9&ie=UTF-8&q=Use+OEM&siteurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.eightforums.com%2Fwindows-8-forums%2F)you will find tutorial on how to install and activate with your embedded Key

@Clintlgm -
I can agree that "eightforums.com" is a resourceful site.

In your link (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media) MS wrote: "If you’re not running Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, you’ll need to enter a Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 product key" ----> please read @Etienne91 posts: the man/women DON'T HAVE HIS Activation key !!!!

Thus, he he should download a windows installation disk from non MS limiting source or he should use a GENERAL activation key to download the ISO in which the OS will automatically activate his/her windows from the SLIC information embedded within the UEFI/BIOS, and from the info MS got on their activation servers ( which he upload once he had windows 8 runing and connected to the internet )

B.T.W if he DON'T have windows 8/8.1 currently working on his G751 - then the MS windows 8 download tool will NOT know which type of installation disk he/she should have ! ( as I wrote already - it can all be change when you edit the ei.cfg file ) ( so it may download CORE edition but not OEMenabled channel !!! )
But if he/she don't have general knowledge of windows installation disks - then your method WILL NOT WORK.

P.S its illegal to work with hack activated Win OS - but NO BODY says its illegal to download a copy of the installation disk FROM WHERE-EVER they want !
MS makes there money from activation keys - not from copies of digital installation disks !

funny, when i put your text in ei.cfg and click on SETUP from my usb, it says : no key valid. When I delete it... it works...BUT, when it reboots, i have 0xc1440137 - 0x2000C error... so it never installs...

edit : i have 9600.17053.winblue_refresh.141120-0031_x64fre_client_core_fr-fr-ir5_ccra_x64frer_fr-fr_esd_9dc8106b60b015be3b16c832c4d7e9f658cf096e

it starts at 5% then go back to the bios and restore the previous version...

You make things too complicate.
Download the Windows tool that work with OEM/Retail version.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

You can download a Windows 8 iso or the tool can make a usb windows bootable for you.
Each recent bios. You have an unique preinstall OEM key (UEFI) that need to be use only in UEFI mode
for that, simply disable launch CSM on the bios, so you can boot in UEFI mode.

You don't need to do anything else, not even need to write your Windows key.

You simply need to boot the USB bootable (Windows) or ISO (CD) holding ESC
and follow the installation, that all (Auto-command will check for you the key inside the bios)

If you really need the windows Key, simply download the application RW (RWEverthing)
CHoose ACPI and check the MSDM, you will find the key at the Data section.
Save it somewhere.

That all ;)

Yes you installed BIOS MBR That does not support secure boot nor fast boot. You have to install UEFI /GPT for those and other features to work.

Here is a link to step by step tutorial for UEFI GPT installation (http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2328-uefi-unified-extensible-firmware-interface-install-windows-8-a.html)

It is possible to convert and OS sometimes very difficult procedure in the long run you are better off Clean install in UEFI mode. Reguardless if you want to try check out this thread on the Eight forum (http://www.eightforums.com/installation-setup/68387-windows-8-1-mbr-install-wish-convert-gpt.html)

everything works smoothly... last thing : i have lost the small logo which say I can upgrade to Windows 10 in few weeks... Am I still able to upgrade ?

any genuine windows 7,8,8.1 will be able to upgrade for free to win 10 in the 1st year since its release - it got nothing to do with the annoying win icon in the systray.
As any system that will be update, will NOT include the manufacturer driver and will inlcude "windows.old" folder ( GB ob GB of date of the old os ), I think its STUPID to dirty upgrade.
Thus, clean install win 10 and then activation with the old activation key - will give the best CLEAN results - without hampering the hdd/sdd.

nevertheless, If you wish to have that stupid icon back, install update num KB3035583 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3035583)
