Hi, I have a G75VW-TS71 laptop bought 2 years ago. It has developed a problem where when the laptop boots up, the screen goes black after displaying 'Starting Windows' logo. Everything else works fine, as windows boot up sound is audible and I can perform some functions through keys (stand by, num lock, wireless on/off, etc). Safe mode works fine too.
I read on the internet that graphic card may have given away. But once in many tries, the screen works fine and the graphics too.
It is definitely not a screen problem, as when the screen is black and the laptop is connected to a TV, the TV displays nothing too.
In short, the graphic card works sometimes and sometimes does not.
Please suggest how it can be solved.

I have tried updating all the drivers, formatting the laptop, installing old versions of drivers.

Specs: i7-3610QM, 12GB ram, Nvidia 660m, Windows 7 64-bit

disable gpu, use onboard in meantime and get new video card. will work every time with on board graphics. Had same problem
