Hi all

After asking ASUS this question:

[Problem Description]
Will I be able to fully upgrade my G75VW from WIndows 7 x64 to Windows 10 x 64?
The first few attempts to upgrade I've had problems with the VIA HD Audio driver. Do
you intend to provide a Windows 10 x64 driver for VIA HD Audio and when might it be
available?

Thank you for your time.

I received thia response:

Well they HAD a valued customer - for over 20 years now - but no more.

As I had said in the VIA Audio problem "Sticky", I was able to upgrade to WIndows 10 on a 5 year old Toshiba laptop and an EIGHT year old DELL Presicion with just minor tweaks, but am unable to do the same on my THREE year old G75 because now ASUS will not support the model for Windows 10.

I am new here, but was wondering if the ROG forum has any persuasion power with ASUS to continue support of the G75? I am sure there are many of us who purchased that model.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news......

Thanks for your time.

Well as a regular poster here I pretty well figured out that Asus was not going to support windows 10 on the G75VW, G46 or 56, It's been pretty well known that they don't support New OS's out of warranty and on equipment they are no longer selling. I haven checked for the G75VX they may have a chance. I think basically there just not going to be concern. The only issue I see is that MS is pushing 10 real hard and if your not careful real careful Due to MS set up you could easily get upgraded whether you meant to or not. Hopefully everyone is making good images of their OS Drives. I sure were going to have them come in here looking for how to get back to windows 8.1 Myself I think I'll not upgrade to 10 at least not until some of these bugs are worked out. I mean my G75 will be 4 years old in July 2016 so do I really need windows 10. I am running 10 on a home built Z97 pro motherboard. I really don't see what I will be missing by not upgrading to 10 for this particular notebook. I do think that the VIA will come out with windows 10 drivers some of the more adventurous people here and else where will find the right driver or work around. So be sure to post the answer if you find it lots of others will appriceate the inoformation
