hello guys
I have run into a problem with my G751 JT
I upgraded to windows 10 and it gave me problems like freezing so that I have to force restart it most probably because of the NVIDIA GPU driver as sometimes a notification comes while playing some videos on facebook or anything that the GPU has stopped working and recovered
after that I factory reset the Notebook but the laptop resetted everything to Windows 10 and now I cant go back to windows 8

any recommendation on what I should do ?
I cant install any NVidia drivers because if I do I will get errors every 10 mins or so and will have to restart..
cant play any games also..

sorry for my bad English
Thank you in advance

If i was you i will get the Windows 10 key and do a fresh install of it using the MediaCreationToolx64 from microsoft, i also have a G 751 JT and windows 10 works great on it.

But if you don't want it Windows 10 has a feature that let you revert back to windows 8.1, google it.

Here are (http://www.eightforums.com/gtsearch.php?cx=partner-pub-7156303416008077%3A205v6qk06j2&cof=FORID%3A9&ie=UTF-8&q=Clean+Install+UEFI) several tutorial on Clean installing 8.1. Get your approved Drivers from Asus Support Downloads (http://support.asus.com/download/options.aspx?SLanguage=en&type=1)
If you want to install Win 10 Here (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10) is where you create your install USB. If you need a tutorial http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/ get you hardware drivers same location as for 8.1 except get them for Windows 10.

Yup, and to do it you have to use the MediaCreationToolx64 (Google it) from Microsoft to create your Windows 10 iso, but don't forget to retrive your windows 10 key from your current installation you can use Magical Jelly Bean KeyFinder.

No after a clean install, you should first off install the latest chipset drives, IME, and IRST drivers, then ATK, Then Video and Audio and so on.

Intel Chipset Driver
Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver
Intel Management Engine Interface (you can leave this as Windows Update will install one for you)
NVidia GeForce Drivers (the first choice is always the latest one from geforce.com; choose the notebook version. if that failed, find the latest at ASUS)
Audio Driver
LAN Driver
WLAN Driver
Bluetooth Driver
Multi-Card Reader Driver
ATK Package (for ASUS-related drivers, this is the first one to be installed first, before the rest of them)
Touchpad Driver
Pretty much like this order of installation of drivers this is an old list however I think all still pertain. USB 3.0 is now native in 8 and 10

wouldn't a factory reset be the same as a clean install of a windows ?

No if your upgrade to 10 didn't delete your factory recovery partition, and you could use it, it would put you back to the point you first got your notebook win 8.1 or what ever came and all the bloatware.
A Clean install of windows is just that, Your disk is formatted and a fresh clean copy of windows is installed on your hard disk, you will still need to install your hardware drivers and software.
