I think I have a refurbished asus g75vw t1100v , the cpu is an intel i7-3630qm @ 2.40ghz, 12 gb of ram, geforce gtx 660m 2gb, bought in 2013 which came with windows 8.1 to which I upgraded to windows 10.. Tried to register it with Asus, but the serial is already used, so can't get support from them.

In any case, I've only started to really use it and when ever I try to play music, video or a game over my headphones, I notice that the sound still goes through the speakers even with the VIA high definition audio speakers disabled and the spdif interface txo (via high definition audio) disabled too..

I used to have this issue when I had just gotten the notebook. I BELIEVE updating the audio drivers fixed the issue.

Yes asus is not supporting windows 10 for the G75. So were pretty much on our own for finding drivers that will work. There are a couple of windows 10 threads where audio is addressed read away. 8.1 drivers can be found Asus support Downloads (http://support.asus.com/download/options.aspx?SLanguage=en&type=1)

It might be the same fix.
