I scratched my display AND I DO NOT KNOW HOW I'VE BEEN SO CAREFUL ABOUT THIS. It's about 1 mm in diameter. Can I do anything to remove it? ....

I don't know but what you could do but I would get it replaced by warranty just tell them any reason why you want it replaced
light bleeding what ever because those are issues too.

I know, but there's no light bleeding, and they will run diagnostics beforehand - I get no replacement and I waste my time.

If they don't replace it, you could buy a new one. It costs about 60-80$. 1 mm is really small though, I dunno if it's worth it.

You can lightly buff it theres literally hundreds of guides just use google. I personally have used a microfiber cloth with meguiars plastic x to remove scratches from screans and laptop plastics for years. It takes a little time and patience.
