Hey guys I need your help with the lights of my keyboard, please :( I have an Asus G60jx that I bought one year ago, today I wanted to try this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rklOixPa_ns) mod, I did everything just how the guy from the video says and then I connected my keyboard and the lights (the thin wire) but when I turn on my notebook the lights of the keyboard doesn't light up :(

I think I connected right the wire that connect the lights of the keyboard, I don't know what to do, I have installed and uninstalled the software of Asus Hotkey and the ATK, but nothing seems to fix my problem :( Please what can I do? Sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native speaker.

Thank you for your time and help.

Hi Sp4wn, Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\ATK Package\ATK Hotkey and double-click HControl.exe. Does this resolve your issue? If not, does logging on to Windows and pressing Fn-F4 turn on the lights?

No dstrakele, nothing happens :(
I already connected the thin wire from the two posibble ways and nothing :(

Do the other function key combinations work on this system (i.e. does Fn-F7 turn the display on and off)?

Every function key works fine, the calculator, the brightness, the sound, everything, just Fn + F3 and Fn + F4 don't do anything :(
and my lights doesn't light up :(

Sure sounds like a hardware issue then (i.e. bad backlight cable).

That is bad, my warranty expired :S
Well I'm going to see if I can do something to fix the problem, Thank you dstrakele!

There is one more thing you might try. Go into the BIOS and choose to "Load Optimized Defaults" (F9). Unfortunately, I think the odds of success are small since your keyboard and the other function key combinations still work.
