Like the title says I have just experienced my first BSOD during a Skype video call... I have ran memtest86+ and came back with errors. I stopped the test early since I assume anything other than 0 errors is unacceptable. I just have 2 questions then. Is this for sure bad memory? Does this Laptop support 1600 MHz memory since if i have to replace it I might as well upgrade since it doesn't cost that much more.

EDIT: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233243 Will this memory work in Our notebooks?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145281 is what I added to the existing 8GB that came with mine. Is your memory the samsung 1600 or have you opened it up and looked yet. Very strange that you got memory errors I've expirenced none with mine. Buying more ram is a lot quicker fix than RMA. I've seen mixed reports on running these notebooks faster than 1333. I thought 1600 wasn't supported so I just grabbed 1333.

As The Nemesis says: "Buying more ram is a lot quicker fix than RMA".

You could go for a RAM set with 1600Mhz but the BIOS/(processor) would only use 1333Mhz if that is supported. But then you would pay more for the RAM and can not use its full performance....

In this thread (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?4162-G74SX-NUMLOCK-for-KEY-PAD&p=53197#post53197) the members here discuss (post 6-7 -> ) if the notebook supports 1600Mhz and such things :)
