I think I'll wait as see what the G752 actually really are. Asus has always been vague about what actually there new notebooks will come with. As we all have seen here in these forums. The Sky X9 looks to be more in competition with Sager, or Alienware than Asus and maybe the G700GX or what ever it will be? I personally have no interest in the G700 but who known maybe it is a good thing. Were not going to know until the new owners start showing up here asking questions and telling us what is really the deal with them?

What did happen with your G751??
It is under guaranty??
How old is it??

I'm worry about the quality of the laptop. Mine has only one week, and I can return it if it's not good enough...

My G751 GTX graphic card is defective , I took the G751 to a Local Asus Service Centre, that's what they said , MB has to be replaced . Its just past its warranty
period. it has been a wonderful laptop. Defective parts happen, 1 in a million. I'm really thinking about the G752VY-DH78K as my next laptop till I found the eurocom Sky X9 . I contacted eurocom with many ?'s I'm waiting on their reply as to cooling , tech support ect . they have International Shipping. but really leaning towards G752VY-DH78K

How it can be past its warranty period already ? You should get 1 year warranty on battery and 2 years on other parts by default no ?

You can't just compare these two machines... Sky x9 has a desktop CPU and desktop GPU. You can say that it is desktop ciosed in a laptop cover.

you in a support forum, of course your going to see issues with these notebooks that's why people come here. Many thousands of Asus notebooks are sold every year most have no issues so we never hear from them here.

I have no idea what the Sky even is. It's not part of my experience, and doesn't appear to even be an industry standard form-factor, so I would probably not even think about getting one.

Asus on the other hand, is well-known and I have a lot of good experience with it. So there you have it, for me at least.

Thanks for every replay...

I'm very satisfied with my G751 by now... It's my first Asus, and I hope it will be with me many years... :)

Regards! ;)

Sky X9 cooling is 3 fans , tech support is email , or 1-800 number or at linustechtips.com. I called # already. lol... they offered trade in for my G751JY few dollars working or not. ... still leaning towards G752DH78K , I must say the Sky X9 has my interest , something about the Unknown. I watched some youtube videos on the Sky X9 .. just 15 days before the 752JY I think.

I'd go for the MSI Titan GT 80 before I'd take a blind shot at the X9. Still don't see any GT80 that offers Skylake, however. I have plenty of time to wait and see what they come up with.

On looks alone, the G752 is a win. On looks and technicals, the G752 is a 90% win. This is an expensive upgrade no matter which route I go, so I think I'll wait for MSI's refresh to see what they're offering. And I'll look at Alienware and others too.

I'm also thinking of going for this Sky x9 unit instead of the G752. The deal breaker though is the monitor refresh rate. I'd ideally want 75-100hz, similar to the Asus laptops. If it doesn't have this I'll likely hold off for the G752.

EDIT: It seems the 1080p panel on the x9 is the same as on the ROG laptops so that technically should mean it can be matched!
